Eating with Celiac in Paris – Your Guide to Gluten Free Restaurants

Don’t let the naysayers discourage you! While it is more difficult to eat vegetarian and gluten-free in Paris it is not impossible. There were so many options, especially bakeries and Italian restaurants! I planned ahead and did a lot of research. I made lists to take with me, broken down into arrondissements, and used the Find Me Gluten Free App to help along the way. We had a kitchen in our room and I didn’t even need it this time, other than to store leftovers. Two weeks in Paris without getting sick. That’s what I call a win! However, I am a little bummed I never made it to Yummy And Guilt Free for waffles. Next time!

Tasca, located near the Eiffel Tower. 100 percent gluten free. We ate here several times and it was wonderful. Highly Recommend! Had ravioli, gnocchi, pizza…all delicious! 46 avenue de Suffren, 75015 Paris

Little Nonna, also 100 percent gluten free. Located along the iconic Champs-Élysées. Can get very busy in the evening so I recommend making reservations. We got lucky without one. http://littlenonnaparis.com

Copains for pastries. My first croissant in two years. Don’t remember what this chocolate dipped thing was called, but it was to die for. They have 5 locations throughout Paris. https://www.copains-paris.com

Noglu was also 100 percent gluten free and delicious. Dairy free and vegan options as well. https://noglu.fr

Cafe Mareva if you’re in the Montmartre area. They do have a second location. Can also get very busy, they turned some people away while we were having breakfast. I had the sweet potato waffles! https://www.cafemareva.com

Judy’s for an amazing breakfast. We ate here several times. I had the tofu scramble and the pancakes were to die for. They also serve lunch and healthy juices. https://www.judy-paris.com/la-carte-sans-gluten

Wild and the Moon 100 percent gluten free and plant based. They offered burgers, juices, bowls, and desserts. I ate here several times. Had the bbq burger and the big wild. They have a few locations though not all have sit down meals. https://www.wildandthemoon.fr/en/content/31-menu-

Not every restaurant I ate was at a 100 percent gluten-free. I also had some lovely buckwheat galettes at La Place next door to Versailles Palace! Most places were very gluten aware and were willing to accommodate. If they couldn’t they would let me know.
