Eating Gluten Free In Ireland

Ireland was a dream for gluten free. So easy to navigate and everyone was knowledgeable regarding celiac disease. While none of the restaurants I went to were 100 percent gluten free, I never had a problem while on vacation. Two weeks in Ireland and I was never sick. Had a near miss on the flight over, though. Obviously a pint Guinness is out of the question but there were many delicious ciders available at every pub. Orchard Thieves was probably my favorite and Rockshore by Guinness. Most menus had allergies clearly marked. Staff were celiac aware and very accommodating.

Here are some places I recommend. Beanhive Cafe was my favorite for the latte art alone. I think we went there most days. It does get crowded. Go inside and get a number and wait for your table. It moves pretty fast.
