Gluten Free and Vegetarian Snacks for Celiacs
Keeping it all natural is the best way to go for gluten free vegetarian snacks. Makes everything easier for us celiacs. That is how I try to do everything, with a few treats here and there, of course. Gluten free Oreos, please!
Here are some of my go to gluten free snacks that I keep on hand and eat most often. So many of these are great for on the go. I can take them to work or carry them on the plane when I travel. If you need ideas for how to manage long haul flights check out my post Traveling with Celiac.

Fruits
I make sure and wash all of my fruits as soon as I buy them so they are ready to go.
- Berries – Strawberries, Blackberries, Raspberries, Blueberries
- Frozen Grapes – so good in the summer!
- Peanut Butter and Apples
- Gluten free Pretzels with Peanut Butter
- Bananas and Peanut Butter (I see a theme here)
- Bananas and Honey
Veggies and Carbs
Again, I make sure to wash and chop all of my veggies so they are ready to go.
- Sweet Peppers and Hummus
- Jicama
- Celery and Peanut Butter
- Steamed Edamame
- Gluten free Avocado Toast with Seasoning or Tomato
- Cucumber and Tomato Slices in Vinegar or Italian dressing
- Corn chips (Siete are my fave) and Quacamole/Salsa
- Veggie Chips and Hummus
- Veggie Jerky (Primal and Louisville are my favorite)
Gluten Free Treats
- Muffins – I like the Veggies Made Great
- Almonds/Cashews ( I like Skinny Dipped)
- Chocolate Covered Almonds, Peanuts, or Raisins, I like to make my own
- Gluten Free Oreos
- Popcorn – I like the Lesser Evil brand, they have fun flavors
Gluten Free Protein
- Protein Smoothie – I use either Orgain or Isopure Plant Based Protein Powder, mixed with Almond Milk and PB2
- Kind Bars
